Who we are
Precision And Recall Pty Ltd (ABN 56 697 558 366) is a specialist technology recruitment firm based in Victoria, Australia. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. You can reach us at hello@precisionandrecall.com.au.
What we collect
From employers, when you send us a brief or a message through this site: your name, work email address, company, the role you are hiring for, and whatever you write in the message field.
From candidates: the information you give us directly — your CV, work history, skills, salary expectations and the like — along with notes we take during conversations with you.
We also collect professional information about potential candidates from publicly available sources such as professional networking sites, public code repositories and company websites, in order to approach people about relevant roles.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We advertise on Google. When you arrive from one of our ads, the URL carries a click identifier that we store with your enquiry so we can tell which ads produce useful conversations. We also record which page the enquiry came from.
This site uses Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking, which set cookies in your browser and send information about your visit to Google. Google may combine it with other data it holds. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser — the site works either way.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising to you beyond measuring whether our own ads worked.
How we use it
To respond to your enquiry, to match candidates with roles, to present candidates to employers we believe are a genuine fit — including employers who have not advertised a role — and to run our business. We do not send marketing newsletters. If we ever start, it will be something you opt into, not out of.
Who we share it with
When we present a candidate to an employer, we start with a profile that does not identify them. A candidate's name and full details go to an employer only once the candidate has told us they are interested.
We use third-party services to run the business: Cloudflare hosts this website and stores enquiries submitted through it, and we use email and document services to correspond with you. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, which means your information may be held overseas.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and candidate records are kept while there is a reasonable prospect of us being useful to you, and are reviewed periodically. You can ask us to delete your information at any time and we will, except where we are required to keep records for legal or tax reasons.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@precisionandrecall.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
